St Joseph's Holy Well, Leenane, Connemara, Galway.
St Joseph's Holy Well sits in the tidal zone of Killary Fjord in Connemara just outside Leenane. It will depend on the tide whether there is water in the Well. Just be careful if you walk out when the tide is in as the stones are a bit slippy. The cure here is for eyes and the Saints Day is 19 March.

On 15th August, the Feast of the Assumption, bells rang out from St Johns Church in Tralee playing Ave Maria. I met with Fr Bernard Healy CC to see the Digital Bell Ringing System that allows up to 500 tunes be played. From one bell originally in St Johns, this System can replicate the sound of Carillons from world famous Cathedrals.

Apologies, Only seeing your comment now. More and more Fairs break out the evening before so a lot of the action sale shots will be the day before the Fair. From what we were told this year a huge volume of sales were the day before and the horses were taken away before the Fair Day itself. You could see the volume of horses on the street on Fair Day were less than normal as a result. So to answer your question, go the evening before and 10.30 onwards on the day itself. I hope you got some nice shots. Gail
